Floral Bliss

Floral Bliss is a collection of new paintings capturing colour, nature and movement. These works reflect moments of quiet observation in my studio. The filtered glow of light passing through each bloom, the warmth of sunlight and the coolness of shadow inspire my palette. Each rose painting covers the seasons, as it unfolds into a lineage of artworks. I paint with energy and my interpretation of flowers is unique. I use dynamic designs and complex compositions. In my practice, I use layered glazes for my watercolours and an array of colours to match the seasons and I paint with large brushstrokes for my acrylics with texture and flamboyance.

Roses have long symbolised love, romance and beauty. Drawing from the direct experience of painting live flora in my studio, combined with my imagination and love for roses, I have created this collection for you to enjoy. I aim to express the way light shifts across the foliage and how shadow and sunlight dance and dissolve into one another. Floral Bliss brings together nature and art into one! 

Australian landscapes and its raw beauty of nature influence my style. I create artworks that connect with nature and demonstrate my passion for painting. All my paintings are originals, created with Winsor and Newton watercolours and painted on Arches 300gsm watercolour paper and the canvases are premium cotton also painted with artist-quality paints from the Winsor and Newton range! All artworks are stored in my home, either in premium acid-free folders or neatly stored in my cupboard with acid-free tissue. I work on small collections in my home and my studio is outside on my sunlit balcony where I have set-up a desk to work at.
